Kindness Collaboration at Work

I am encouraged when I notice more people taking the virtues of kindness, compassion, civility, and spirit lifting as an important aspect of their business actions. I think how naive I am when wanting to believe that a global company, where I worked, stated that their greatest asset was their people. That was fifty years ago!

However, no initiative of any type was ever utilized to proclaim any benefit accruing to its employees. Words are cheap and action costly.

We now live in the age of digital conversation and the reach we have is astounding. What better opportunity to promote these virtues.

Social experts are reporting that the human need for nurturing is over-taking the human need for recognition. Groups of people are forming alliances and collaborating to promote these virtues at all of our gathering places.

Our spiritual institutions are no longer the only holder of the keys to unlock our kindness; they share them now with our work places. It is part of the "Wellness" movement, only at a higher level of consciousness. Our transpersonal needs can no longer be ignored.

Let's collaborate and make these virtues fashionable. The results in our quality of community life are well worth the effort.

If More People Would Connect

If more people would connect to each other in person as much as we do on our social networks; I think it would be a more delightful community in which to meet our everyday challenges of the hectic daily grind.

If more people would connect by giving a smile and say, "Hi, how are you?"; I think stress would begin to melt away.

If more people would connect by taking a minute or two each day and offer to help a friend, a family member, or even a stranger; I think serenity would be on the rise.

If more people would connect by looking for those in adverse situations and send them a silent blessing; I think we would feel a welcome shift in our own spirit lifting.

If more people would connect by taking time to communicate in an honest manner; I think we would have less confusion and hurt and experience a more peaceful awareness.

If more people would connect and become "Spirit Lifters"; I think the whole world would change into a far more healthier community.

So let's connect and see what the possibilities might be for you, for me, and for others.

The Quality of Your Thoughts

The quality of your thoughts help determine the results you get during life. People who have a high regard for others and without prejudice, enjoy a healthier, wealthier, and wiser outcome. If you're not satisfied with what you now have you may want to change the quality of your thoughts.

Establishing Unshakable Values

We live in a time when it is important to establish unshakable values. The world economic downturn adversely affects our quality of life. We wonder, "What will happen to our comfortable life style?"

Most of us will learn to live with less. To be happy we will learn to embrace different values. It is a time when we will discover our unshakable values.

For instance, today in Tucson, the sun was bright in a cloudless sky. No matter what my financial situation, tomorrow will be a beautiful day. I am fortunate that no matter what happens in the stock market, , nothing will stop the sun from shining. It is an unshakable value to be cherished.

There are many unshakable values. Each person must find their own. Maybe you like snow and tomorrow will bring a blanket of white that you can cherish as an unshakable value.

This is only a beginning for helping each other be spirit lifters. Let me know what you find as a simple unshakable value. Share the things that truly make you happy so others can find comfort in times like these.

Thank you for reading my blog.

The Delight of Spirit Lifting

“Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.”
